The New Hampshire Lottery is projecting the Mega Millions jackpot will soar to $548 million for Friday’s drawing—making it the third-largest Mega Millions jackpot on record and the ninth-largest lottery jackpot overall. The one-time cash payout is expected to increase to $309.2 million for Friday’s drawing. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)

“With more than half-a billion dollars at stake in Friday’s Mega Million’s drawing, this is an absolutely thrilling moment and opportunity for our players across New Hampshire,” said Charlie McIntyre, executive director, New Hampshire Lottery. “Whether you are a long-time player or new to Mega Millions, we invite you to get in on the action as this Mega Millions jackpot continues to climb. Here’s hoping Friday night brings us our first New Hampshire Mega Millions jackpot winner!”

The Mega Millions drawing results from Tuesday, October 9, were: 20-22-39-54-60 MB-18 with a Megaplier of 3.

An 11-member office pool in California won a $543 million Mega Millions jackpot on July 24, and the jackpot has been growing ever since. With no winner this past Tuesday, there have now been 22 straight Mega Millions drawings without a jackpot winner.

The largest Mega Millions jackpot in history was $656 million, which three winners from Kansas, Illinois and Maryland shared in March 2012. The largest lottery jackpot on record was a $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot in January 2016.

In addition to Mega Millions, the current New Hampshire Powerball jackpot is also expected to increase to $282 million for tonight’s drawing. The Powerball one-time cash payout is anticipated to be $161.1 million.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM and tickets are on sale until 9:50 PM Friday. Tickets are on sale at more than 1,400 retailers statewide, as well as through the New Hampshire Lottery’s new online platform, iLottery. For more information and to play, visit www.nhlottery.com.
