New Hampshire Mega Millions Jackpot Leaps to $508 million – Seventh Largest Jackpot in Lottery History

CONCORD, N.H. – Expected to exceed a half-billion dollars, the New Hampshire Mega Millions jackpot for Friday, July 8, is projected to be $508 million—making it the seventh largest lottery jackpot in history. The estimated one-time cash payout option is estimated to increase to $357.7 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are calculated before taxes.)
 
“At more than a half-billion dollars, this New Hampshire Mega Millions jackpot is creating incredible buzz throughout New Hampshire,” said Charlie McIntyre, executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery Commission. “Sales are way up. Our players are incredibly excited. Now is the time to get in on the winning! Come Friday, we are hoping to have a $508 million New Hampshire winner!”
 
The drawing results from Tuesday, July 5, were: 29-46-53-64-73 MB-10 with a Megaplier of 5.
 
This $508 million Mega Millions jackpot, which is the third largest Mega Millions jackpot in history, is the largest Mega Millions jackpot since December 2013, when the jackpot reached $648 million. The Mega Millions jackpot has been on the rise since March 8, when Michael Burkett of Seattle, Wash. won a $157 million jackpot. The largest Mega Millions jackpot in history was $656 million—three winners from Kansas, Illinois and Maryland shared that record prize in March 2012.
 
To play Mega Millions, players may pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers - five different numbers from 1 to 75 and one number from 1 to 15 - or select Easy Pick. A player wins the jackpot by matching all six winning numbers in a drawing.
 
Mega Millions tickets cost $1 per play. Drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 PM. Mega Millions tickets are on sale at more than 1,250 retailers in New Hampshire until 9:50 p.m. Friday.
