Mega Millions and Powerball Jackpots to Approach $2 Billion Combined

Concord, NH – Nearly $2 billion combined will be on the line in Mega Millions and Powerball drawings tonight and tomorrow. The New Hampshire Lottery projects tonight’s (3/26) Mega Millions jackpot will reach $1.13 billion, which would make it the fifth-largest Mega Millions jackpot on record and the eighth-largest jackpot in lottery history. The New Hampshire Lottery also projects tomorrow night’s (3/27) Powerball jackpot will reach $865 million, which would make it the fifth-largest Powerball jackpot on record.

The Mega Millions one-time cash payout is expected to increase to $537.5 million and the Powerball one-time cash payout is projected to increase to $416.1 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)

Mega Millions drawing results from Friday, March 22, were: 03-08-31-35-44 MB-16 with a Megaplier of 3.

Powerball drawing results from Monday, March 25, were: 07-11-19-53-68 PB-23 with a Power Play of 2.

The estimated $1.13 billion Mega Millions jackpot has been growing since December 8, 2023, when a lucky player in California purchased a $395 million jackpot-winning ticket. Since the drawing in December, there have been 30 consecutive Mega Millions drawings without a jackpot winner.

The anticipated $865 million Powerball jackpot has been growing since January 1, when a lucky player in Michigan purchased a $842.2 million jackpot-winning ticket. Since the drawing in January, there have been 35 consecutive Powerball drawings without a jackpot winner.

The largest Powerball jackpot on record was $2.04 billion in November 2022, which was also the largest lottery jackpot in world history. The largest Mega Millions jackpot on record was $1.537 billion in October 2018.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM and Powerball drawings are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 PM.
