Saturday Night’s Powerball Jackpot Projected to Soar to $1.4 Billion

Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Lottery is projecting the Powerball jackpot will jump to $1.4 billion for Saturday night’s (10/7) drawing, which would make it the third-largest Powerball jackpot in history and the fourth-largest lottery jackpot on record. The New Hampshire Lottery expects the one-time cash payout to reach $643.7 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)

“The beat goes on, and here at the New Hampshire Lottery, we love the beat of this now-$1.4 billion Powerball jackpot!” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. “There has been no stopping the rise of the Powerball jackpot this week, and we are on the edge of our seats waiting for a winner! With Saturday night’s $1.4 billion jackpot on the line, we expect both online and retail ticket sales to continue to build momentum right up until the drawing. Powerball drawing results from Wednesday, October 4, were: 09-35-54-63-64 PB-1 with a Power Play of 2.

The $1.4 billion Powerball jackpot has been growing since July 19, when a lucky California player purchased a $1 billion jackpot winning ticket. Since the drawing in July, there have been 34 consecutive Powerball drawings without a jackpot winner.

Powerball drawings are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 PM.
