Estimated $725 Million to be Up for Grabs in Saturday’s Powerball Drawing

9/21/2023

Concord, NH – Without a winner in Wednesday’s (9/20) drawing, the New Hampshire Lottery is projecting Saturday’s (9/23) Powerball jackpot will increase to $725 million, which would be the eighth-largest Powerball jackpot on record. The New Hampshire Lottery estimates the one-time cash payout will increase to $345.7 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)

One lucky New Hampshire player purchased a $150,000 winning Powerball ticket for the drawing on Wednesday. The player purchased the winning ticket at the Circle K on Route 27 in Raymond.

“There is no denying New Hampshire is beautiful in the fall with its incredible foliage, apple picking and corn mazes, but honestly, I think the $725 million Powerball jackpot tops all of that!” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. “As we celebrate the start of the fall season, almost three quarters of a billion dollars will be up for grabs in Saturday’s Powerball drawing. We can feel the excitement rising as our retailers and NH iLottery report continued Powerball sales growth. There is still plenty of time to get in on the action, so buy your tickets before it’s too late!”

Powerball results from Wednesday, September 20, were: 16-27-59-62-63 PB-23 with a Power Play of 3.

The $725 million Powerball jackpot has been growing since July 19, when a lucky California player purchased a $1 billion jackpot winning ticket. Since the drawing in July, there have been 28 consecutive Powerball drawings without a jackpot winner.

Powerball drawings are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 PM.

Tickets are on sale at more than 1,400 retailers statewide and online at NH iLottery. For more information and to play, visit www.nhlottery.comhttp://cd3.campaigndispatch.com/link.php?M=2077406&N=7274&L=825&F=H.
